Largest share quantity for large families or two families to share.  Season Extension Shares start the first week of November and end just before the holidays in December (Thanksgiving week is excluded, included are two big holiday shares, one before Thanksgiving and one before Christmas).

Description

Tender greens will be available in the Season Extension share, weather permitting. Hardy Greens (kale, collards, cabbage) will be featured during the extension along with traditional and unusual storage crops. Our storage crops include but are not limited to: potatoes, winter squash, onions, carrots, beets, turnips, winter radishes, kohlrabi and parsnips. Local apples round out the crop mix.  All the vegetables in our Season Extension share are ecologically grown!

Please remember that the crop mix and when crops are available in all shares are subject to variability depending on the season.

Sample Season Extension FULL Share

  • Regular weeks CSA share

    • 1 Butternut squash

    • 5 bunches or heads of your choice of bok choi, arugula, tat soi, kale, parsley, napa cabbage and brussel sprouts

    • 20 lbs. total of your choice of the following crops: potatoes, onions, carrots, beets, turnips, kohlrabi, daikon, winter radishes, parsnips and apples

  • Holiday weeks share

    • 1 large pumpkin or acorn squash

    • 5 bunches or heads of your choice of bok choi, arugula, tat soi, kale, parsley, spinach, napa cabbage and brussel sprouts

    • 30 lbs total of your choice of the following crops: potatoes, onions, carrots, beets, turnips, kohlrabi, daikon, winter radishes, parsnips, winter squash and apples.
