1. Applesauce “Sorbet”

Put some applesauce into a freezer-safe container and freeze for a couple of hours, until it has hardened but is not rock solid. Remove and spoon into serving cups. Or, freeze until solid. Then, about an hour before serving, remove from freezer and put into fridge, or about 20 minutes before serving, remove from freezer and let it stand at room temperature. Transfer to a food processor and pulse until finely chopped, or to your preference. Serve immediately.


2. Apple Lime (or Lemon) Smoothie

1 c applesauce
1 c ice cubes
1/2 t lime juice (or lemon juice)
yogurt, to taste, optional

Put all ingredients into a blender and blenderize until smooth.
