4 medium turnips, trimmed
1/4 c olive oil
1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 t  grated nutmeg
salt and pepper, to taste

1. Preheat oven to 450ºF.

2. Cut turnips into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Toss in a bowl with olive oil, grated Parmesan, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.

3. Spread the turnips out on a baking sheet, scraping out all the oil from the bowl and onto the turnip slices. Bake until golden, 18 to 20 minutes.
