Just when we thought we had had way too much rain it rained again. It rained so hard for so long that the creek flooded. Good thing we had already harvested the Winter Squash because some of those squashes would have floated away. The good news is that we have beautiful warm and sunny weather now which is drying out the soil. We had hoped to have the Potatoes out this week but next week seems more likely. The crops look great and if you do not already have a Season Extension Share now is the time to sign-up.
The Vegetable Share includes Choi, Winter Squash featuring Butternut, Peppers, Greens, Lettuce or Eggplant, Scallions or Onions and Radish or Japanese Turnips. The substitutions are cilantro, fennel, hot peppers and potatoes.
The Fruit Share includes Apples and Pears from Singer Farm and Mars seedless grapes from Erdle Farm.
