Enjoying the warm weather?  The plants are.  We could use some rain.  Summer crops are coming in now.  This season we are hoping to have more Sweet Corn and Tomatoes in the share.  Beans have been a challenge.  Porter Farms grow them for us and the climate up near Batavia has been rough on the crop the last few years.  We are still planting.  This week the last Chard, Beet and Scallion rotations will go in.  Yesterday we planted Lettuce, Radicchio, and Fennel.  By the end of August we will be finished planting except for Arugula and Radishes.

The Vegetable Share includes Herbs (Bulk Basil, Fennel, Parsley, Cilantro, Dill, Sage and Thyme), Sweet Onions or Scallions, Choice of Summer Squash, Cucumbers, Eggplant or Peppers, Carrots or Beets, Sweet Corn and Greens (Lettuce, Chard, Dandelion, Cabbage or Napa).  The sub is additional Napa or Kohlrabi.

The Fruit Share includes Peaches and a choice of Plums and or Apricots.  The Apricots have been amazing this year.  If you slow cook them as a stew they make an excellent refrigerator jam.  The fruit is from Singer Farm.
