These are ready in 10 minutes, even 5 if need be. The sugar adds a nice dimension to the flavor of the radish.

1 1/2 c quartered radishes
1/2 t salt
1/2 t sugar

1. Put the radishes in bowl. Combine the salt and sugar. Sprinkle over radishes. Gently toss. Let sit for 5 – 10 minutes. Toss again, then serve.
