1 c grated raw Japanese turnip
1 c (peeled and) grated tart apple, such as Granny Smith
1/2 c chopped fresh parsley
2-3 T lemon juice
1 T vegetable oil
salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 c toasted and chopped walnuts or pecans

1. Combine everything, toss, cover, and chill for an hour.
