This is surprising good seasoned with either of or both of the ground spices…

1-lb carrots, cut in strips or rounds
1 T butter
1 T honey
salt and pepper, to taste
fresh chopped herb (dill, parsley…) or dried OR ground cinnamon and/or ground nutmeg, to taste

1. Steam carrots until just tender. Remove from pot.

2. Melt butter and honey over medium-low heat, that is, slowly. When melted, add carrots and stir to coat thoroughly. Increase heat to medium and cook until carrots are glazed, around 5 minutes.

3. Season with salt, pepper, and herb(s) or spice(s).
