This is the penultimate share for the Winter Season. Deb has sent emails and Stew has posted on Facebook regarding the final share, in late March or early April. Stay tuned!

What’s left of the share: Celeriac; Potatoes; Carrots; Radishes (no Daikon); Turnips; Cabbages; Yellow Onions; Chioggia Beets; Apples; perhaps a few other stragglers…

The Recipes: Celeriac and Beet Casserole; Celeriac with Peas; Sour Cream Cabbage; Onion Bread Soup; Hash Brown Squares; Lacto-Fermented Applesauce.

Greetings! What a whack winter we’re having!

We bid adieu to: Kohlrabi, Red Beets (Detroit and Butter), and Red Onion. Winter Squash is near the end, there may be a few for the next distribution, or not.

The Share: Kim Chee, (made in December ’11); Sauerkraut, (also made in December ’11); Navy, Black, Pinto, and Kidney Beans; Popcorn; Yellow Onions; Cabbage; and the remaining usual suspects.

The Recipes: Root Vegetable Stew with Sausage; Chioggia Beet Soup; Onion Salad Dressing; Creamy Winter Radish Soup; Five Popcorn Toppings; Tuscan Bean and Pasta Soup.
